Her love of originality, and dislike of the mass produced, along with her focus on traditional techniques, ensures that all products are lovingly
made with both individuality and quality in mind.
Leathers are sourced from a local tannery that specialises in vegetable tanning the traditional way using genuine crushed Black Wattle Bark sourced locally and processed on site.
Valerie Little Leather handcrafted leather and fabric bags are individually crafted in a variety of styles including soft kidskin satchels, clutches, day bags, leather document wallets, laptop covers, iPad sleeves and structured “one of a kind” pieces from heavy leathers.
Ethical production is at the heart of the business philosophy with everything handcrafted from quality sourced leathers and fabrics.
The business was founded by Valerie Little in 2009.
Valerie was originally drawn to the beautiful features and soft leather of gently worn jackets that she found at thrift stores. This sparked a passion for designing and constructing her own line of unique bags from reclaimed leather and vintage fabrics.
Fabrics and buckles are sourced from vintage shops and reclaimed fabrics. Valerie hand picks quality
fabrics with texture and individuality. The "one off" patterns add character to every bag.
Bags are made using a combination of
cow, kangaroo, emu, ostrich, sheep and kid leathers.
Often, the completion of a bag can take some time,
as a design can’t be completed until the right material comes along.
